What's In Store for 2024

Dear Friends,

As 2023 comes to a close, we feel immense gratitude for the community that makes Theater in Asylum’s work possible. Thank YOU for propelling our spaces to be vibrant springboards for new research- and ensemble-driven theater! (👀 Look back at all you made possible in 2023, here.)

With 2024 just around the corner, we’re thrilled to unveil our plans for our 14th year:

• Become a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, opening the door to new grants and funding opportunities only available to nonprofits. As our company continues to grow, this fiscal transformation will open, as well as restore, valuable funding streams for our work.
• Produce The How to Survive the End of the World Cabaret, hiring dozens of artists and welcoming 200 audience members to share in their work at Jalopy Theatre for two nights, November 1–2, 2024. Save the date!
• Host 9 Cold Readings
• Pay over 30 artists
• Maintain a free ticket option at all public events, a commitment we have kept since 2016.
• Begin to develop our next mainstage production

To make this all a reality, we’re launching our 2024 Fundraiser with a goal of $11,000. As always the majority of that money goes directly towards paying artists.
