Frankie Alicea

Frankie Alicea is incredibly excited for his debut performance with THEATER IN ASYLUM. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he studied in the Experimental Theater Wing, he can be seen working around NYC and Connecticut both as an actor, theatre educator, and bartender with companies and programs like Theater YinYin, Rescue Agreement, and The Center for Creative Youth. Frankie is a firm believer in the restorative power and the violent beauty of theatre and he is thrilled to be working with such a passionate, provocative company.

Theater in Asylum (TIA) is a New York-based theater company founded in 2010 to challenge and empower our community. TIA joyfully pursues a rigorous research and an ensemble-driven approach to theater-making. We create performances to investigate our past, interpret our present, and imagine our future. We prize space to process, space to question—asylum—for ourselves and our community.
