Adin Lenahan

Adin Lenahan (they/them) is a submerging writer & performer. Adin makes theater about losers, the kinds of people who can’t even pull it together to make themselves look cool on Instagram, but whose depth of experience could fill a million feeds and timelines. Their practice combines the versatility with the human body and voice, with pulpy storytelling often ripped from the headlines. Their work has been produced at Ars Nova, Dixon Place, Judson Memorial Church, The Kraine, The New Ohio, The Tank, Theater for the New City, Tom Noonan’s Paradise Factory, wild project, among other venues. They are a producer with the Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary arts incubator, Undiscovered Countries (UC). UC showcases multi-disciplinary work by underrepresented artists working in mediums ranging from burlesque to puppetry to visual art.

Theater in Asylum (TIA) is a New York-based theater company founded in 2010 to challenge and empower our community. TIA joyfully pursues a rigorous research and an ensemble-driven approach to theater-making. We create performances to investigate our past, interpret our present, and imagine our future. We prize space to process, space to question—asylum—for ourselves and our community.
